Why buy gear from a catalog when you can come in, look at it, fire it up, and try it on for comfort. We can quickly set up any tent you might like to see. Crawl in the sleeping bag and make sure it fits. Lay on a Thermarest to make sure its comfy. Get a primer on lighting your stove. To us – camping means tenting, so let’s cover that rather essential item first. We carry tents from Eureka, Mountain Hardwear, MSR, and Sierra Designs ranging from 
lightweight backpackers tent, more generously sized tents for paddlers, solar shades for sun protection on the beach, to larger tents and screenhouses for car campers. We stock budget friendly tents you won’t be scared to let your kids use, as well as the bombproof technical tents that you might want to hide from them.
Sleeping Bags and Pads For your sleeping comfort, we suggest self-inflating mattresses and closed cell foam pads from Therm-a-rest and sleeping bags from Mountain Hardwear, Integral Designs, and Asolo.
Therm-a-Rest is the maker of the original self-inflating mattress and closed-cell camping mattresses, and has mattresses suitable for ultra light travel as well as thicker mattresses when weight isn’t a concern.
Mountain Hardwear sleeping bags feature innovative features, like ergonomic collars, tailored hoods, welded construction, and tuck-stitched baffles, to ensure loft, warmth, and durability. They offer superlight down and synthetic-fill mummy sleeping bags which are ideal for backpackers and for those seeking to travel light and fast.
After a day on the trail, you’ll want to re-fuel for the next day’s adventure. We carry a selection of MSR stoves and cookware to help you whip up your camping creation. We carry both the versatile liquid fuel stoves suitable for four season use, as well as the convenient and lightweight canister stoves. MSR makes stoves targeted for the extreme user, the fast and light camper, and the trailside gourmet, and we carry them.
If you want to be truly creative in your outdoor cooking, why not bake up bread, pizza or brownies in an Outback Oven?
For the weight conscious traveler, we carry a selection of freeze dried meals, sides, and desserts from Backpacker’s Pantry and Mountain House. The meal options keep getting better with new meals such as Organic Tofu Pesto, and Organic Puttanesca, Or perhaps the old standbys will satisfy you: Beef Stroganoff, and Lasagna. Don’t forget some Mocha Mousse Pie or Strawberry Cheesecake to top it off.
Water TreatmentKeep your drinking water clean and safe with filtration systems from MSR, ultraviolet light purification from SteriPEN, and chemical based purification from Pristine and Aquatabs. MSR Filtration systems remove matter down to .2 microns in size so removes bacteria, protozoa (including crypto and giardia), and particulate, and are suitable for treatment of water in North America. Water purification systems kill bacteria, viruses, and protozoa, but do not remove particulate matter.
To carry that purified water we carry water bottles from with stainless water bottles from Klean Kanteen, coated aluminum bottles from Sigg, and the new BPA free bottles from Nalgene.
If you want something more than water to fill that bottle, we offer GU20 Sports Drink crystals from GU Energy to replace the electrolytes lost during your workout. We also offer GU Energy Gel for those who prefer their energy boost in a gel and GU Chomps for energy boost in a solid form.
To address your camping illumination needs, check out headlamps from Petzl and Princeton Tec. New LED lamp technology has resulted in much lighter lamps operating on smaller batteries and greatly increased battery lifetime. We also carry the Eureka Magic 185 LED Lantern/Flashlight, a very bright 185 lumens in a very functional and economical package. Finally an alternative to the heavy, noisy, hot lanterns of old, with no heat or flame to be a worry in a small tent.
Daypacks, Backpags, and Drybags
All this gear is starting to pile up – you need a carrying solution. To carry away that load on your back we offer daypacks, backpacks and travel packs from QOR, Mountain Hardwear, and Asolo. For women, we carry Asolo’s series of Elle packs available in both backpacks and travel packs, made with a narrower shorter frame sized for a women’s physique.
Asolo Encounter backpacks feature three main pocket access points (top, zippered front, bottom) zippered pack divider, detachable daypack, detachable pack lid, and are frame length adjustable to fit your back. 
Asolo Navigator travel packs share many of the great features of the Encounter packs, but have a full zipper for full access to the main storage compartment, and also come with a transport cover to protect shoulder straps and hip belts from airport conveyer belts.
If this gear is going into a boat, dry bags and packs from Seal Line and Sea to Summit or canoe barrels with optional harnesses from Eureka could be a preferred hauling solution. More information on these products in Watersports Accessories.
Trekking Poles and Nordic Walking Poles
Trekking poles and walking staffs can help you with your footing when walking or hiking. Poles also help reduce the strain on your knees when you walk with a load. Finally, you can boost your walking pace by getting your arms working for you as you stroll. We carry trekking poles from Louis Garneau and hiking staffs from Tracks.

Knives and Tools
There may be moments on your adventure when having the right tool trip can be indispensable, whether it’s for whittling that marshmallow stick, or fixing your kayak rudder. We carry a selection of Swiss army knives from Victorinox, multi-tools from Leatherman, and river knives from Gerber. Don’t leave on your next adventure without one.
